11,35 f-f ig -2 S? 2 GONZAGA HIGH SCHOOL Dedication Just another heap of bricks and mortar, lust another building That is how the new Gonzaga Hugh School appears to the casual observer But to the thousands who have graduated from Gonzaga, lt is more than that To them the new building stands as an lmperlshable monument to the principles which Gonzaga represents, to the goals for which Jesuits have consecrated themselves for over 400 years, to all things which, by the supreme authority of God, are right and true and lust This Intense love of Gonzaga by the myrlads of MEN who truly know Gonzaga is not lust school pride, not lust the love of the old alma mater , lt IS some thing deeper something only true Gonzagans can fully understand lt ls, in a sense, the learning to really know, love and serve God For the utilization of this acquired virtue mitigates the mere problems of this life - opens unseen avenues - and permits these MEN to lift their heads and look the world in the eye - for they, contrary to what smaller men may say, contrary to what the world may believe, are right. And the lowly opinions of mankind shall not dissuade them. These are the things For which this monument stands. And it is to this monument, to the new Gonzaga High School building, that we dedicate this book.
