GRID REVUE of an Undefeated Season GONZAGA I2 LEWIS AND CLARK 0 After a warm up pre season game with Cen tral Valley which the Gonzaga Bullpups took at a decisive 38 to 0 score the Frazier coached crew opened the city series under the stadium lights against their oldest rivals Lewis and Clark Early in the second quarter sophomore halfback Pat Walsh wound up and tossed a thirty yard pass to Leonard Miotke who scored standing up Later in the same quarter big Frank Laney brought six thousand spectators to their feet with a pass interception that resulted in a 75 yard touchdown run for the final score of the game GONZAGA 19 WALLACE 0 Against the strongest opposition that they met all year the boys in blue conquered a rug ged Wallace team on the miners home field For three quarters the Zags were held scoreless The fourth quarter opened with a bang when Bob Anderson flipped a long pass to Tom Meeks who drove for twenty yards for six points Bobby Carroll went forty yards through the line for Cionzagas second to be followed by Duke Lodell who scored untouch ed after snaggmg a pass a few seconds before the gun sounded GONZAGA 3 NORTH CENTRAL 0 The spirited Bullpups continued their unde feated march by trimming a determined North Central crew by the margm of a single field goal The Gonzagans combining power with razzle dazzle drove the ball from deep in their own territory to N. Climaxing a sustained drive from midfield, Buck Cambell crashed over from the five yard line and Sil Mauro converted.
