In the field of athletics, especially, the students of Three C have been outstanding. Day, Behrens, Seale, and Rowles played on Gonzaga's city cham- pionship football team. Day also took part in the Shriners' benefit game. In baseball, track and basketball, members of the class have been likewise prominent. Joseph Behrens upheld the honor of the class in public speaking when he won the right to compete in the annual Gold Medal Debate. Aub Rowles, genial class comic, held a position of importance on the Luigian staff, and no little part of the excellence of this book is due to his untiring efforts. Looking back over the past year, we, of Three C, are pardonably proud of our accomplish- ments. To the graduates of '31 we bid farewell and wish them success in life's journey. i261

Besides possessing a fine indoor team, this class tied for the inter-class basket- ball championship, and lent material to the football and track squads. Other extra-curricular enterprises gained the whole-hearted support of the division: the Cataldo Fund and the Annual received splendid backing from its members. Public speaking events, too, drew capable students from the ranks of Il-A, Arthur Boehning and James Codd both shone brightly in the annual elocutio contest, after having taken first and second respectively, in the Gold Medal de-llate. f f 1.1 lk , , y lf!! mf fi UM 'U-
