Salutatorian SUZANNE LLOYD Parents, Teachers, and Friends: It is my privilege to welcome you to our Com- mencement exercises and to say thanks from the class of 1967 for making this very important night possible for us. All of you have helped in some way to provide for our education. We especially extend this thanks to our parents and teachers who have guided and inspired us in the right direction through these many happy years. Twelve years ago we entered school as eager T little first graders. At that time we thought twelve years was an eternity. Tonight that first exciting and frightening day seems as though it were only yesterday and what seemed an eternity has suddenly passed and we are now graduating. Tonight is a momentous event in our lives for it represents the completion of twelve of our greatest years--twelve years which not too long ago was an eternity, now merely a milestone--twelve years that mark an end and a beginning--twelve years as students. To- night we leave ol' Gomer High and will never enter these doors as students again. We shall have many fond memories of our school life which we shall treasure through the years as we proceed forward--into the future. Now that we are graduating we must look to the future. We will leave here tonight and begin a new and very different life. Many of us will seek further education while others will enter directly into the business world. Whatever we do we hope to make a success of our lives. Our motto The Greatest Challenge--Our Future is one we will strive to meet squarely and we will try to be successful in whatever we attempt. I humbly hope that whenever you hear our names in the future, you will be proud to say: They graduated from Gomer High School.
