Five Named to Who ' s Who The GHS faculty selected James Flores, Rusty Ryan, Jeff Stracener, Mark Schoenherr, and Mary Gay Von Dohlen to Who ' s Who. These students were chosen from six per- cent of the combined membership of the junior and senior classes by receiving 60 percent of the faculty vote. Selection to Who ' s Who is mainly based on the students ' scho- lastic achievement and participation in extra-curricular activities. Mark Schoenherr, senior, was elected Most Likely to Succeed and Mr. GHS. He was also President of NHS and was active in several sports. 28 llllllM II Rusty Ryan, senior, was President of the Art Club, Co-Editor of the Mission, and was active in sports, NHS, and FTA.

Outstanding Students Honored At the annual Awards Day Assembly, outstanding students were recognized for their work done throughout the year. Each academic department selects the outstanding student who has demonstrated leadership and who has contributed significantly to the class to receive an award. Local civic organizational awards were presented and scholarship recipients were recognized. Over $19,000 in scholarships were awarded. Michele Bammert admires her typing award received from Mrs. Shroyer.
