All vocational departments recog- nized students for outstanding work at the Annual Awards Assembly, May 23, Rusty Ryan was awarded the top vocational honor by receiv- ing the Norman Davis Vocational Award. Each vocational teacher pre- sented students with certificates and gold medals for their hard work and whole-hearted efforts. Sylvia Ann Martinez accepts the Distributive Education Award from Mr. H. P. Clarke. Brettjl jj received the Boys ' State Award from he American Legion.

Five Named to Who ' s Who The GHS faculty selected James Flores, Rusty Ryan, Jeff Stracener, Mark Schoenherr, and Mary Gay Von Dohlen to Who ' s Who. These students were chosen from six per- cent of the combined membership of the junior and senior classes by receiving 60 percent of the faculty vote. Selection to Who ' s Who is mainly based on the students ' scho- lastic achievement and participation in extra-curricular activities. Mark Schoenherr, senior, was elected Most Likely to Succeed and Mr. GHS. He was also President of NHS and was active in several sports. 28 llllllM II Rusty Ryan, senior, was President of the Art Club, Co-Editor of the Mission, and was active in sports, NHS, and FTA.
