Juniors Honor Seniors With Prom The 1979 Junior-Senior Prom was set to the theme of Sunrise Over the Ocean. For the second consecutive year, the prom was held at Weesatche Hall. Photographs were taken in front of a sun rising over the water with palm trees and sand in the foreground. Ms. Caramae Simmons, Commercial Art instructor, designed and painted this beautiful background. Music was provided by Crossover, and special lighting was created by Kenneth Eichman. The menu consisted of sliced ham and roast beef, vegetable salads, chips, dips, cake, and punch over dry ice. Mary Gay Von Dohlen, Junior Class President, gave the welcome, and Mitzi Ressmann, Senior Class President, gave the response. The invocation was given by Sandy Haak. Juniors, Brett Burris and Karen Ethridge, read the prophecies, while Seniors, Tammy Preiss and Trudi Henderling, read the wills. Tina Cardosa even looks for food on the floor. Members of the freshman and sophomore classes ate more than they served.
