WILLIAM DEES Chairman Vitally interested in ' the educational systerq of North Carolina, Mr. Dees serves as both chairman of the Goldsboro City Board of Education and chairman of the North Carolina Board of Higher Education. The Goldsboro Board of Education meets monthly to try to solve the problems and situations which arise in the school sys- tem. HAL PLONK During the three years Mr. Hal Plonk has been at Goldsboro Senior High School, he has served as assistant principal and guidance coun- selor. He is certainly an asset to our school. MRS. BEATRICE BALKCUM As guidance counselor, Mrs. Balkcum helps many students. She is especially helpful to seniors applying for college. MRS. LOLA WILLIAMS Preparing meals for over one thousand two hundred students is no easy task. Mrs. Williams, our new dietitian, is constantly trying to please the students and faculty. 20
