DR. N. H. SHOPE Superintendent Guiding the entire city school system, the Goldsboro City School Administration staff endeavors to advance the importance of education to the younger generation. Dr. N. H. Shope, superintendent of Goldsboro City Schools, is continuously striving to improve our school system. He is always trying for the betterment of teachers as well as students. MRS. LINDA RICHTER MRS. JANE BEST Qoldsboro MntMstrat ' m MISS CATHY STOVER MRS. BESSIE COALSON MR. EARL DAVENPORT Mr. Davenport serves the city schools as admin- istration assistant. He also works with the business administration. MRS. VIRGINIA HOLZKAMM Mrs. Richter, Mrs. Best, and Miss Stover serve Goldsboro City Schools system as secretaries to Dr. Shope. Mrs. Coalson is supervisor for all city school cafe- terias. Mrs. Holzkamm has the responsibility of han- dling the money of the city schools. 17

WILLIAM DEES Chairman Vitally interested in ' the educational systerq of North Carolina, Mr. Dees serves as both chairman of the Goldsboro City Board of Education and chairman of the North Carolina Board of Higher Education. The Goldsboro Board of Education meets monthly to try to solve the problems and situations which arise in the school sys- tem.
