The board is composed of ten members who meet once a month with Dr. Shope to discuss and settle the problems of the high school and grade school students. Mr. William Dees, who is a prominent law- yer in Goldsboro, is chairman of the board this year. His achievements in the field of edu- cation are recognized throughout the state.

Dr. Shope is a graduate of Otterbein College, and he received his lVlaster's Degree and Doctor's Degree from the University of North Carolina. Qity Schools Administration MR. EARL DAVENPORT Administrative Assistant Serving as Administrative Assistant is Mr. Earl Davenport. He helps Dr. Shope and also works with the business administration. Mr. Davenport was a teacher at Goldsboro Junior High School before assuming his present position. --1-
