MRS. NADINE HOWELL Playing an important role in the life of each student is Mrs. Nadine Howell. In addition to serving as Mr. Twiford's secretary, Mrs. Howell manages the high school office. Senior High School Administration MRS. W. BOYETTE Managing a high school cafeteria is not an easy job. This is Mrs. Boyette's first attempt at this type of work, and both students and teachers agree that MRS. BEATRICE K. BALKCUM Before undertaking guidance work for the first time, Mrs. Balkcum taught sophomore English. She now teaches three periods of English, and counsels she is doing an excellent job. the remainder of the day. MR. HAL K. PLONK Serving as guidance counselor and assistant principal is Mr. Hal Plonk. Before coming to Goldsb-oro High School, Mr. Plonk was Director of the Industrial Edu- cation Center. Mr. Plonk received his B.S. and M.A. degrees from Western Carolina College, N,.C. State College, and East Carolina College. MR. C. W. TWIFORD Plrfzripnl Under the capable guidance of our principal, Mr. C. W. Twiford, the students of Goldsboro High School have successfully completed another year. Because of his con- stant reminders of the values of education, Goldsboro High has grown to be one of the finest high schools in eastern Carolina.

He works constantly with various people to make progress in the betterment of the school system. Dr Shope graduated from Otterbein College and re ceived his Masters Degree and his Doctors Degree from the University of North Carolina.
