3 Pastor Lodd'gs . elsqy Worshippers of the God of this world cannot understand why anyone should take so much time to study God's Word. How can anyone be so foolish as to spend two years at LBI? You who have chosen to study here bear wit- ness that you believe it wise to seek the kingdom of God and His righteous- ness before all else. You have put the eternal in first place above the temporal. --PASTOR H. G. LODDIGS It has been a great privilege to have become a part of the LEI family, and to have served as one of your instructors. It has been a special joy to me to present the cause of missions. I am hoping and praying that your missionary interest will continue to grow and that you will take an active part in the mission program of the Christian church wherever the Lord calls you to serve Him. --DR. RUSSELL E. NELSON Take time to be holy, The world rushes on Spend much time in secret With Jesus alone . . . In joy or in sorrow Still follow thy Lord, And looking to J esus, Still trust in His Word. --MISS SADIE PONWITH It's a great joy to begin work at LBI. And having such fond memories of days spent here as a student, I am challenged to continue the fine work so faithfully done by Miss Nelson in the past. We ask for your prayers and help, so that this school may continue to hold forth the Word of Life. --PROFESSOR J. C. SEAGARD God's Word was the cause that created all things. His Word is also the cause of new creation. You have become a new creature through the Word of the Gospel. You have studied to be workmen who rightly handle this message from God. Let this same life-giving Word dwell in you richly to flhe end, when He who began a good work in you will bring it to com- pletion at the day of Christ. --PASTOR RUSSELL A. Miss Anderson Pastor BergJ Wp0'3 . . Whate'er your place in life, it is not yours there. --MISS FLORENCE ANDERSON VI Your fine class theme is timely and significant. Let it be your daily guide until you see the lights of Home. In times like these--times of much religious impatience and activism, may you always remember that activity in Christian service without stillness in His presence can never lead to effectiveness. --PASTOR A. S. BERG Many significant events are identified by a short and simple slogan. For instance, we can recall two memorable events in the history of our na- tion as soon as we hear Remember the Alamo! and Remember Pearl Harbor! May your spiritual experience at LBI be so significant that in the future you will continue to maintain this slogan, Remember Jesus Christ. --PASTOR ROY BLOOMQUIST Be still! Pause often to consider him who endured from sinners much hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. Listen when He bids you, Be urgent, in season and out of season . . . do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry! Forget not that He also says: Lo, I am with you always. --DR. C. O. GRANLUND One of the most courageous 1e aders this world has known said, How shall it be known that Ihave found favor in thy sight, I and thy people? Is it not in thy going with us, so that we are distinct, I and thy people, from all other people that are upon the face of the earth? tEx. 33:161. In a day of great movements among men, may you also make this the test for each new step into the future, that you may be distinct lights in the gathering darkness. , --PASTOR K. C. GRUNDAHL Live reverently and you will live honorably. --PASTOR BERNHARD A.
