PASTOR A. W. DICKHART Your searching of the Scriptures at the Lutheran Bible Institute has enabled you to unite with Peter Gn John 6:68-69t in ioyfully confessing to Jesus, Thou host the words of eternal life! God has great blessings for you in future days as you continue to study, build upon, and share the Word of God! Our prayers are with you. DR. 0. GORNITZKA Not what my hands have done - no, not your hands, but His. Those hands were pierced as they were nailed to the cross and with that nailing The bond which stood against you was canceled. That made you free, not to live unto self, but that your hands may be those of a bondslove of Jesus Christ. You are now free to serve the Master with ioy and glodness. DR. JOHN E. GRONLI Not what these hands have done, but we in faith can see The nail-pierced hands of Christ, who won the victory; He bore our sin and shame, as on the cross He died, That we might live to Him and serve the Crucified; He calls you to His work as heralds of His love; He leads through life, through death, unto His home above.

FACULTY PASTOR ROY R. BLOOMQUIST It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me . . . Gal. 2:20. The pri- mary purpose in coming to LBI is to understand and experience the reality of this vital truth -- 'not I- but Christ.' When this becomes the dominant theme and practice of our lives We may expect to receive the fullness of God's blessing. PASTOR A. S. BERG You have reached one of life's significant milestones - congratulations! God bless each one of you. In the glorious partner- ship of service for Christ may the thought at the heart of your fine class motto ever challenge you. Living in His grace, His hand in yours will keep you strong and loyal. Greetings in Eph. 2:8-10. EDNA CARLSON Dedicated hands are folded in prayer, bringing down the blessing of God upon themselves and others. Dedicated hands hold the Bible and from its pages show others His salvation. Dedicated hands are helpful hands, lifting the burdens of others. None of this is done to gain sal- vation, but because of love for Him who said, It is finished. PASTOR AL BYERS When you look out into the world to which you are going, my friends, it ap- pears that there is one striking character- istic that stands out. Isaiah had put it in words like this: Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth has fallen in the public squares, and uprightness cannot enter. 59:14. Only one thing would I exhort the graduating class to do. Be honest! Be honest first with yourself. Honesty begins within. Be honest with God. Spiritual peace and life are affected by it. Be honest with every- one. Communal peace and harmony are affected by it. Perhaps you could be so contagious that our nation and the world would be affected. Asking too much? How many are there of you? He was only one, they were only twelve.

PASTOR K. C. GRUNDAHL From our sheltered port at lBl we prayer- fully send you as our fleet of ships. As vessels of the Lord you unfurl your sails to push out upon the tides and waves of the seas of the world. May the God of hope fill you with all ioy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope Rom. 15:13. If you are thus filled, you will be bearers of a cargo desired in every port: ioy, peace, faith and hope. In every land hearts await your coming to offer ioy instead of anguished sorrow; peace in- stead of anxious turmoil; and hope to replace earth's broken dreams. In every port may you be found faithful to deliver. PHILIP G. HANSON It is in the humble and contrite heart that God has promised to dwell. God gives grace to the humble. May the grace, which came through Jesus Christ, keep you aware of your own helplessness, that you may grow in grace and knowledge of Him. PASTOR BERNHARD A. HELLAND A multitude of facts can be learned by the mind but we must enlist also the heart to know the TRUTH.
