Each Wednesday the students meet together in small groups for prayer and devotion. Helpful inspiration is gained from these small groups, and the students appreciate this opportunity to get together in a friendly atmosphere such as this. In some of the prayer bands, prayer lists are made up of friends or relatives who are sick or in need of special prayer. Their time has been limited by their teaching load, but some things have been done. Together they have been respon- sible for the P. E. program including the ioint P. E. periods every six weeks. The Science Fair at Golden Cate Park was included as a field trip for their science and math classes. Mr. Harrison's bound copies of SCIENCE DIGEST were loaned to the library, and Mr. Fisher brought 40 volumes of beautifully bound NATIO- NAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINES, which had been given to the school through a friend. Mr. Fisher's classes include biology, algebra, and bus- iness math. When Mr. Wisenhunt is head over heels in a bus's innards Mr. Fisher is the man that is willing to help tix something. ln Hr. Harrison's course of bookkeeping the students learn how to fill out income tax blanks and manipulate a cash register, besides this course he teaches geometry and physics. The make-shift chapel certainly changed ap- pearance one summer, tile was placed on classroom floors, and other major improvements showed the planning, or- ganization, and the hard work ot this group who make it their goal to foster the interests of the students and cheer the teachers. THE ANCHOR and the Editor ready for bed l want to thank all of my staff for all the work that they have done, and all the time they have spent. l want to thank our sponsor, Miss Fitzgerald, for all that she has done. She has spent many hours plmning out pages and going over them. She has been very good to the staff and has helped everyone. Mr. Harrison has helped us by taking pictures that we so badly needed for this year's ANCHOR. When we asked Mr. Harrison to help us he was so willing that he took time out of some of the things' that he had planned. Another thing that Mr. Harrison did was to sponsor the campaign for the subs we needed. This year the staff has had the best of co-operation from the students and the teachers. lwant to thank all of the people that had something to do with this year's i957 ANCHOR. Our sponsors, and the advertizers, are included in this thank-you too. This book is the results of effort on the part of our friends. Very sincerely yours, Floyd Hoofard, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF X P3 li!
