To the'Inn come Joseph and Mary, who v for lack of room and money, are turned away by the Inn- , keeper who none-the-less finds room for the Rabbi' Jotham of Jerusalem. The Innkeeper's servant shelters Mary in ' the stables and carries news of the birth of the Messiah ' to his Master.
