A team was also sent to the State meet at Corvallis. In the dual meet with Rogue River the High team Walked off with 7 of the 9 Firsts and scored Q3 points to their opponents 30. We could not garner enough points to win the county meet, although our relay team was first to cross the line. Uur failure to win the meet was partially due to the fact that the girls took so little interest in track. The team making the trip to Corvallis was Melvin Sargent, Lyle Childers, VVoodrow Shaver, and Coach Ang- stead. Those making their letters in track were: Sargent, Childers. Dorman and Shaver.
