The Orchestra is under the leadership uf Mr. Butts. There are eleven who have made a puhlic appearance although there are many more. The memhers and instruments they play are as fe-llmvs: Ruth Green, drums: Melvin Sargent and lleatriee llalmer, Saxuphunes: llill I'-lainmersly and Carl l'almer, Clarinets: Aileen Guy and Lucille XVheatley. Cnrnetsg Jeanne Hannnersly, Louise Smith, and lidith Duzenherry, Violins: and Lucille Hittle, Piano. The Orchestra played at most of the entertainments and at the Gold Hill Music Festival. They have shown much improvement during' the year and plan to have a First-class Orchestra next year. ,

his NTU GCiEiia'tE GSI?-TCIIFPTEEEC glee Club! This is Mrs. tiuy's third year in supervision of the g:irl's and boy's Cilee Clubs here. The Glee Clubs have been a part ofthe entertainment in almost every program during the past three years. A music Festival was held in the pavilion in which four schools were represented: Rogue River, Butte Falls, Glen- dale, and Gold llill. The mixed chorus sang' three songs that were very got:-cl, and the boys quartette consisting' of lllelvin Sargent, Linsley Dorman, I.yle Childers, and VX'arren Kelsoe sang' a song: - The music Festival sponsored by the Southern Oregon Normal School was held at Ashland again this year. Mrs. Guy entered both the boy's and g'irl's Glee Clubs, that participated in group singing with many other Glee Clubs.
