THE NuGGE'r1930 5' CEYOLD Hn.l. HISCHOQE Hzlglz School Pzkmk On April Fool's Day, the Student Body went on their animal picnic. The meadows was chosen as the place' to go. One of the Freshmen showed his ability as toreador when he swung a cow around by the tailf Later a great baseball game was played in which the boys played against the girlsg of course, the girls won. It was a very nice trip and the picnic was enjoyed by all. CHRISTMAS PRGGRAM The grade pupils prepared a veryl good program for Xmas in which one of the High School students played the part of Santa Claus. The Girls Glee Club furnished part of the entertainment. Tllli CARNIVAL The third Annual Carnival was the biggest and best that has been given. There were many attractive booths to lend to the carnival spirit that prevaded the High School Gym. lt is estimated that there were 250 people present whose generosity made the carnival a howling success. THE INITIATIGN The Sophomores ran fourteen lively Freshmen through the gauntlet of initiaticn. The rooks were fed such dainty morscls as snails and apple-pie seasoned gen- erously with cotton. Due to lack of organization the ini- tiation was not as severe as the Sophomores had promised and no illfeffects were felt by those initiated. Precedling the initiation each class put on a short skit. The Juniors and Sophomores staged a dress making race, and the Seniors presented a mock wedding scene with Carl Palmer as the blushing bride and Charlie Smith the nervous groom. After the entertainment refreshments consisting of pumpkin ple and cider were served.
