On September o, IQQQ a trembling group of I4 extremely green lfreshmen entered the tiold Hill school. They were: Netty Stone, liugena Quakenhnsh, Frances and lilizaheth Ferry, Aileen tiny, Mary Hunsley, lienevie Stumho, Virginia Dye, Ruth tlreen, Clarence and Ernest Kell, Kenneth XYald, Ted Ritter, and Bill Hammersley. In October the sophisticated Sophomores initiated the aforesaid group, serving' them with delicious CPU apple pie, hread and milk, and other rare tidhits. School life was peaceful from then on: and the Freshmen increased in stature and wisdom. The second semester Glen Lingren and lidith Duzenherry entered the class, and Mary Hunts- ley and Virginia Dye left school. The numher in outside activities were: 6 girls, 5 boys in lilee Cluh, 3 hoys, 4 girls on haskethall squad, and 2 in orchestra.

Six verdant Freshmen entered High school in IQ23. On October 25. we were initiated by the Sophomores and became full-fledged higli school students. This year four of our original number: Zelda Smith, Minnie Harrison, john Fleming and Roy Stone, and two new students, Xvllllfl l'oe and Hill Connor, enrolled. Shortly afterl the opening of school Roy Stone joned the U. S. Marines. On Uetober 19. we initiated the Freshman class, although we had little success as they outnumbered us by far. Three members are enrolled in the Glee Club, one in Orchestra, and two girls turned out for basket-ball.

Carl--Oh! you don't say so. Lucy-VVell, for crying out loud. Jean-Say, do you want me to murder you ?, Ruth Green-Oh. Is that so, Mel Sargent-I haven't any. Eugena-Oh! phooey. Nettie-Oh, heck. Mildred-Judas Priest. Mrs. Campbell-I'll flunk you in typing. Warreii-I'se regusted. Lyle-VVhoopie! VVhoopie! Grandad's an Eskimo.. Bill Hammersly-I don't care. Frances Ferry-Ach Himmel. Edith Duzenherry-Horse Feathers. Iilizabeth-Goodl Grief. Wilna Poe-Aw: Darn! Genevie-I don't know.
