The Mighty Seniors et,-' 3,- Camival Queen ls everybody ready? , , 3 On your mark! inter The Annual Winter Carnival, sponsored by the Student Council, was held during the last week of January. Pageant in White was the theme chosen for the carnival, and although some of the skiing events and the sculpturing could not be held, every- one enjoyed the other features of the carnival. The carnival got off to a good start with tobog- ganing races and a skating party held Wednesday. Skating and skiing races were also held. A basket- ball game against Pittsfield, which Goffstown won by a score of 64 to 40, was held Friday night and was followed by a record hop. Students earned points for their respective classes in various activities. The class in each di- vision which accumulated the most points won an all-round trophy. The winners were: Senior Division -- Class of '59 Junior Division -- Class of '62 Due to the fact that some events were postponed, awards were not presented at the carnival ball. They were awarded at a special record hop held for this purpose.

Carnival The ball on Saturday night brought the carnival to an exciting end. A huge crowd attended and everyone had a wonderful time. The climax of the evening carrie when Colleen Burns and Anne Backus, queen and princess for 1958, crowned the 1959 queen and princess, Jane Backus and Patricia Kamieniecki. First and second aides to the queen were Pam llarden and Sharon Simpson. First and second aides to the princess were Pallas Gobin and Donna Lowe. Let's spike it!
