Band The school band under the direction of Mr. Vin- cent Ferdinando had approximately forty members this year. Small group instruction was given twice a week to members of the band who desired it. In- struments were available to students for rental. Rental payments go toward the purchase of the in- strument should the student wish to buy it. The band participated in V8l'i0LIS' School programs and assemblies. The high light of the season came in the spring when the annual spring concert was pre- sented. At the concert parents and friends enjoyed the selections played by the members of the band. Mr. Vincent Ferdinando Director

The Dramatics Club presented two plays during thc school year, a one-act play which went to the state drama festival at Durham and a three-act play which was put on in the spring. Members of the Draniatics Club represented Goffstown High School at the Speech Tournament in the winter. The National Thespian Society is made up of members of the Dramatics Club who have earned ten or more points acting, or working behind stage. Meni- bers of the Thespian Society assist in the production of the plays and participate in the speech tournament. The motto of the Thespian Society is: Act well your part, there all the honor lies.
