Appointments Jon Tack Jane Backus was chosen to receive the DAR Good Citizen Award from Goffstown High School. She has maintained a high honor roll average. She has served as class president, president of the Student Council, the National Honor Society, and the Dra- matics Club, and has participated in many other school and community activities. Representing Goffstown at the state compe- tition held in February, she received the second highest DAR award in the state. Goffstown High School is proud of her. Honor Jon Tack has been an honor student at Goffstown High School. His ability was rewarded when he was honored with the following nominations: second alternate to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis from Senator Norris Cotton, competitive nomination to the Air Force Academy from Representative Chester E. Jeani Dunsmore, Nancy Smith, Jane Backus. Profile Boys' State began on June 22, 1958 at the University of New Hampshire for some 200 boys. Rep- resenting Goffstown were Bob Draper and Jon Tack. They learned about our government and, at the same time, met many boys and made many friends. Granite Cirkf State Nancy Smith, Jeani Dunsmore, and Jane Backus were the lucky ones chosen to attend Granite Girls' State from Goffstown. Their week was spent in much the same way as the boys'.
