THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION You are a graduate of God's Bible School? Then of course you have already joined the Alumni Association, and I know you appreciate the contact this gives you with former students and faculty. Not only is the fellowship you enjoyed as a student a continuous fellowship through the Association, but you are now in a position to be a blessing to your Alma Mater in an ever- increasing way. You are aware, naturally, of the requisite for membership in this Association. A graduate of any of the regular courses is eligible to join, and is enrolled as a full member, those who did not complete a regular course, or those completing a short-term course, are enrolled as associate members. Your Alumni Association wants every former student, teacher, or worker, to join in this fellowship. Since the organization was formed less than seven years ago, in 1950, we have not as yet been able to locate all who have gone from this Hilltop.l' Perhaps you can help in this matter, and remember that we are counting on you to boost for the Alumni Association of God's Bible School. The Bible School Alumnus is printed quarterly, and is sent without charge to those entered on the membership list. This is a newsy four-page medium of keeping in touch with G. B. S. and with each other. It is a tie that binds us together around the World. DOROTHY REMV, Secretary GOD 'S RE VI VALIST What Is G0cl's Revlvalistu? Q Briefly, it is a sixteen-page holiness weekly periodical. It was established as The Revivallst in 1888 by Martin Wells Knapp, the founder of God's Bible School, and in its beginning was a monthly publication, consisting of four large pages, printed in small type. The publication oflice was in Albion, Michigan. By 1893, the publication was located in Cincinnati, Ohio, from whence it has been sent on a world-wide ministry up to the present time. At the end of 1894 it was enlarged to an eight-page paper, the subscription price remaining at 30c per year to those un- willing or unable to pay more. Balances were adjusted by free-will offerings. Quoting the editor, from the issue of january 5, 1899, We read: The blessing of God has brought The Revivalist from the small four-page monthly to its present place. For its prosperity in the past, and auspicious outlook, we wish to record our gratitude to Him who has so faithfully verified the promise: 'In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy pathsf-Prov. 3:6. At that time it was a sixteen-page weekly, as it is today. The present name, God's Re- vivalist, was adopted at the beginning of 1901. What It Contains Each issue is devoted to the teaching of salvation in its fullness-regeneration and sancti- fication. This may be through sermons and articles by well-known writers, sermons preached at God's Bible School, shorter articles, testimonies, etc. It serves as an official organ of the School, setting forth such activities as the Thanksgiving program, the Camp Meeting, mission- ary programs, and other features. Every issue carries an exposition of the Sunday school lesson, a page devoted to the interests of youth, a page for meditation, and usually some letters from missionaries, many of whom are former students. There are appeals to the unsaved, illustrative materials for ministers, and much miscellaneous reading matter-all on a sound, Scriptural basis. What It Means to You Graduates of 1957, as you depart from this Institution, where God's Revivalist is published, we trust that you have become so much in love with your Alma Mater that you will forever keep up the connections by means of this link, God's Revivalist. Not only will it be meat to your own soul, but also by sending it to others you may minister to many whom you could not other- wise reach. May each of you be a self-appointed committee of one to subscribe to, boost, and scatter Gocl's Revivalist to the ends of the earth. FLORENCE CARLSON, Eflitov
