HISTORY President Ralph Couts Vice President Alice Lou Hines Secretary Lois Metzger Treasurer Maude E Baumberger Class Colors Scarlet and Gold Class Flowers Red and Yellow Poses Class Motto nToday We Follow,Tomorrow We Lead' the fall of 1933, thirty four saall students began their travel of education Miss Mary Pfieffer first took us to drill Successful in our first year, we all were promoted to the second grade in which Miss Esther Ulrich was our instructor During the next four years we were guided by Miss Julia Pfieffer, Mr Francis Nussbaum, Miss Isabelle Molter, and Mr Russell Bennett Within this period of time several of our classmates left us, but othe s arrived to fill the vacancies By this time we were ready to enter Janl r Hlgr School We were under the leadership of Mr Ralph Johnson in our seventh year After successfully completing our last year in 'Junior Highn with Mr Eddie Sears as our advisor, we were promoted to High School In our Freshmen year there were thirty three in all Mr Ralph Gart rell was our home room teacher We were guided through our Sophomore year by Mr Kenny Gartrell The Junior Senior Banquet was the main event of our Junior year in which we were under the leadership of Mr Palph Johnson We also presented a class play under the direction Miss Murry Porterfield and Miss Dorothy Murray Mr R William Padgitt was our home room teacher and adviser durin the Senior year The original members of the class are Ralph Couts, William Drumm, Harold Goettge, Harold Gram, Walter Gutensohn, Junior Hearing, Alice Lou Hines, Raymond Huebner, John Kinsey, William Lawver William Martin, Wanda Metzger, Phyllis Milligan, Raymond Smith, and Gene Thomas In bidding farewell to G H S we, the Seniors, wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the teachers who guided us so suc cessfully through our travel of school life Alice Lou Hines Phyllis Milligan IN MENIORIAM BETTY JANE KOTH MYISON K ENDEIGH DAVID WO LFE 13 ..-....----...------..-..--..---- I uuizzniiiinmiiiiuzivcii .
