At 1984 CHRISTMAS 1984 Jr 1984 CHRISTMAS 1984 CH«V he Spirit of Christmas glowed at Glynn Academy in 1984. as the year came to a close and welcomed in 1985. Christmas is a favorite time of the year for al- most everyone — maybe because of the festive halls throughout the entire school — or maybe because of the smiles everyone had for the two- week vacation? The annual Dec-A-Door contest proved success- ful and creative. Winners were as follows: Mrs. Garbutt — Humorous. Mrs. Campany — Serious. A tree with familiar faces Would you settle for a paper snow- man? Even the Asst. Each year stu- dents donate a pint of blood to the Red Closs in order to save millions who need blood. VIC A took care of recruit- ing all students who were eligible to give blood — and did a very fine job of it. Many thanks go out to all who gave their healthy blood — you're a good sport!! This year Glynn Academy beat BHS by 25 pints — GA donated 114 pints and BHS donated 89 pints. We did it again thanks to the spirit of GAU! While be- ing led by only three returning starters off of last year's squad, the Terrors struggled to a 3-7 season after coming off of a 9-3 record last year. So you could safely say that the Big Red Machine was turned into a Little Red Wagon . All through the year, even during a three game losing streak. the young Terrors played with a G.A.T.A. spirit and an enthusiasm which pleased the coaches. So when the last hit was made and the dust finally settled, there were some bright spots for the future — the running of Brent LaRoche. and the receiving of Randy Fisher on offense, and the play of David O'Quinn at outside linebacker and Barrette Walker at defensive back. With these players leading the way. the future looks bright for the upcoming years at G.A. 90 Front (L.-R.) T. Wilson. K. Bruley. C. Carter. B. Watts. J. Kirksey. J. Griffin. W. Wells. T.
