Seniors!!! DONNA BAILEY was a member of NHS, Drama and Science club. She participated in the concert band, jazz band and flag corps in which she was captain her senior year. She has received a NCTE achievement award and won 1st place in the Great Ameri- can Smokeout essay contest. WAYNE HALL was a member of the Careers club. Seniors in Action club and ECA. He was on the football team and was awarded player of the week. He was voted Mr. Muscles his senior year. He plans to major in criminal justice. DALE MCNABB was a member of FCA, ISSS and Booster club. He participated in football and received 3 let- ters and was outstanding re- ceiver his Jr. year. He was no- minated for Who's Who and he attended Boys State. He is a candidate for the Coast Guard Academy and Mer- chant Marine Academy. He also made the honor roll throughout high school. BOBBY WILKES was a member of FCA and student council. He has played foot- ball, baseball and basketball throughout high school. He was captain of the football team and the number one prospect in south Georgia. He is also among the top 5 pros- pects in state. LAURIE BUDD was a member of NHS, Y-club, IRC, Booster, newspaper staff and Student Council in which she served as vice president of executive board her senior year. She has re- ceived such awards as James D. Compton Free Enterprise Foundation Award, Econom- ic Department award, Inter- national Foreign Language award, Cum Laude award in Latin, 1st place in social sci- ence fair and received a Ga. Cert, of Merit. She also made the honor roll throughout high school. SUSIE SLADE was a mem- ber of Latin, Science and Rac- quet club. She has participat- ed in cheerleading and Stu- dent Council for 2 years. She was Sophomore Valentine Queen as well as Homecom- ing Queen. She was on the tennis team for 2 years and was selected to Who's Who. She has also made honor roll. 19

18 DAVID MILLER was a member of NHS, Science, ISS and Racquet club. He won grand prize at the Social Sci- ence Fair and was nominated for Governors Honors. He re- ceived a Ga. Cert, of Merit, Ga. Tech Science Scholar award and was selected to Who's Who. He has made the A and A-B honor roll all 4 years. STACY GROVNER was a member of CBVE, Vica, ca- reer club. Science, model U.N., ICC, Swing and Con- cert Choir, Nia, ISSS, Drama, Trivia, Society of Franklins and Student Council. She has been a member of All State chorus and selected to Who's Who. She was a National Achievement semi-finalist and received 3rd place in de- bate tournament. BRAD STROUD was a member of FCA and Student Council, serving on executive board his junior year. He placed 1st place in the Inde- pendent Social Science Fair and was nominated for Gov- ernors Honors. He wjs a 4 year letterman on the tennis team and basketball his soph- omore year. In tennis he has been region champion, ranked 4th in state, ranked 7th in the 16 year olds and 17th in the 18 year olds. FELICIA MORRIS was a member of NIA, Booster and Career Club. She played bas- ketball, softball and track and was MVP of region 3AAAA basketball tournament. She participated in Youth in Gov- ernment as City Manager and was 3rd runner up on the Homecoming court. Outstanding LES JACKSON was a mem- ber of Y-club, NHS, Science ISSS, 2nd Lt. and band leader. He won 1st place in the Opti- mist Oratorical contest, re- ceived Ga. Cert, of Merit and Ga. Tech Science scholar award. Honors alternate. Na- tional Merit scholarship semi-finalist, and made the A-B and A honor roll all 4 years. SCOTT NICHOLS was a member of Y-club, NHS and the marching band in which he was drum captain. He received a Ga. Cert, of Merit and has been on the A-B honor roll. ROD LIFE was a member of Explorers, SIA and Career in Engineering Club. He has played football all through high school and was chosen most valuable player against Bwk. High. He also received a perfect attendance award 9th and 10th grade. He plans to major in com- puter science. INGRID OVERMAN was a member of NHS, Drama club and CBVE. She participated in Governors Honors and received a Ga. Cert, of Merit. She also made A and A-B honor roll all 4 years. She plans to attend col- lege and major in special educa- tion. DEWITT WEAVER was a member of NHS, ICC, FCA and a member of student council for 4 years. He has received many awards which include U.S. Stu- dent Council Award, National Leadership Merit Award, Ga. Tech Distinguished Mathemat- ics Scholar, Glynn Academy Math Analyses award, Ga. Cert, of Merit, DAR award, and U.S. Leadership award. He played basketball for 3 years and has received the most improved player in golf the past 3 years. He received the Columbus In- terscholastic Invitational Champ award and was individ- ual state medalist. He also was chosen as city commissioner in Youth in Government Day. KIM MCLEMORE was a member of FCA, Science and Racquet club. She was on Annu- al staff and served as editor her senior year. She was on Student Council for 3 years serving as executive board president her senior year. She has also re- ceived the National Achieve- ment Academy Award for the past 2 years. PAGE PLOECER was a mem- ber of Latin, Booster, FCA and NHS. She has been a cheer- leader for 3 years serving as co- captain this year. She has re- ceived the Ga. Cert, of Merit and Ga.
