The “real” Tom Walsh The “serious” Tom Walsh THANK YOU MR. WALSH! — FROM THE 1989 FLICKER STAFF Dedication . . . We, the Class of 1989, thank you, Mr. Thomas Walsh, for all the help, guidance, and support you have given us over the past four years. The leadership and experience that you have dem- onstrated has influenced us in a number of ways. As “Coach,” you have given our football players a sense of pride and commitment. As a biology teacher, you have shared your knowledge with those who have dared to take your class. As the yearbook advisor, you have shown us how to capture our most precious memories in a book that we will always treasure. These are just a few examples of your dedication to the students of Gloucester High School. The great amount of time and effort you have volunteered to the Class of 1989 has not gone unnoticed. We would like to take this opportunity to show our appreciation for all that you have done for us. Thanks once again? Mr. Walsh . . . This Book’s for you! The “playful Tom Walsh

Editor’s Page Associate Editor. Financial Editor: Managing Editor: Carlotta McCarthy Tracy Murray Karen McKay As editors of the Flicker, it was our responsibility to make this yearbook reflect both the Class of 1989 and Gloucester High School. We hope that in years to come you will be able to read this book and think back to all of the special events of our graduation year. We want this book to serve as a reminder of one of the most important times of our lives. Creating the 1989 Flicker was a difficult job. A large number of people spent a great deal of time and effort putting this book of memories together, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them. We would first like to thank our advisor, Thomas Walsh, for guiding us and keeping us headed in the right direction. Without his help, this book would not have been possible. We also want to thank our associate editors. They organized all of the areas of the book which helped us a great deal. They did a great job, and we want them to know how much we appreciated them. The remainder of the staff worked hard on their assignments. Some just learned this year, but everyone did an excellent job to meet each deadline. We would also like to give a special thanks to photographer, Terry Bleiler, who came to every event this year. And to all the students of GHS that helped make our senior year special — Thank you for all of the great times and memories over the past four years. Good-bye and good luck to everyone at GHS. We’ll miss you all next year. 4
