HOME ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT The aim of the Home Economics Department of G.H.S. is to prepare its students to become efficient homemakers. By planning and preparing well-balanced meals, the girls acquire valuable experience, plus poise and charm as hostesses. The girls prepare and serve the refreshments for the National Honor Society teas and other school func- tions. PHYSICAL EDUCATION The Physical Education Department, with instructors Miss Maryellen Flanagan and Mr. Donald Snyder, helps bring physical fitness to freshman boys and freshman and sophomore girls. Sports ranging from basketball to e d hockey are taught to the students. In addition students are taught the proper use of various types of gymnastic equipment. As a result of their training many students go on to participate in varsity sports. All participants gain valuable training from this program. HOWARD A. CURTIS Mass.
