In addition to the college prep courses, there are special classes in chemistry and physics for those wishing only a practical knowledge of those sub- jects. The Science Department also offers to seniors who are especially interested in the field of biology an advanced course in that subject. The various courses strive to encourage students to develop their reasoning power, to do more independent investigation on their own. and to become more familiar with the world in which they live.
