OSS. GIVE HIM A CHEER. GIVE HIM A HAND! For many years the GHS cheerleaders have been shouting this to the crowds. Now the Class of 1963 would like to cheer formally the man who has served for 28 years at Gloucester High School as a coach — - Norman C. Ross. FOR HE’S THE COACH WHO ' S REALLY GRAND! “Nate’’ has announced his plan to retire as head coach at the end of this school year: he will continue as an economics teacher and as the director of athle- tics. The man with the battered gray hat has become a living legend for the teams and young men he has trained. IS HE ROUGH? IS HE TOUGH? NO! IN ate s lockeroom lorensics are well-known; but it is also well-known that while he criticizes the boys’ mistakes, he is quick to praise the efforts of his players. FOR HE’S THE COACH WHO’S GOT THE STUFF! What does it take to be a man who is well-known, liked, and respected in every circle: among teach- ers, students, and athletes? Perhaps no one knows; but “Nate’’ Ross has it. Mr. Ross, the Class of 1963 salutes you with this dedication, and wishes you every success. We are sure our praises are echoed by all your teams and associates. Coach Ross and physician Mr. Ross with two of his assistants, Mr. O’Neil and Mr. Canniff. .
