Mr. John Carter and the teachers seek to give the students a general knowledge of world and United States history and world geography. With a basic understanding of man, his traditions, and development, students in their senior year are able to participate in discussions of current events. Mr. Robert Card and the other teachers seek to make the student aware of science as applied to his own life and the development of the world. Each pupil learns the funda- mental scientific principles in any course from General Science to Physics and Advanced Biology. The science department helps us acquire a basic knowledge of the sciences in an age which demands it. 27
