GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT One of the most beneficial aids to the students of Gloucester High Schoo is the Guidance Department. Our coun selors are Miss Ruth Marshall. Mr Leon Sprague, and Mr. Robert Natti They are helpful in solving our prob lems, informing us of school require ments and scholarship opportunities and showing many the road to success and happiness. 1 hese three counselors have been a great help to us and all of the students during our school careers. ■ : : ■

cS ome 6ers Ac members naue VERNON C. HOOPER Mr. Vernon C. Hooper is a fami- liar face in the third floor corri- dor, both as a floormaster and a teacher. As floormaster he helps to maintain the disciplinary stand- ards of the school ; sometimes this must he accomplished through the assignation of hours in the deten- tion hall which he and Mr. Elmer supervise each afternoon. As a teacher Mr. Hooper in- structs classes in mechanical draw- ing. We are indebted to Mr. Hoop- er for his efficient handling of all the matters under his supervision. J. VINCENT ELMER Mr. J. Vincent Elmer also holds the posi- tions of floormaster and teacher. His effi- cient manner, keen insight and understand- ing, and sense of humor have gained him the respect and admiration of the students and faculty alike. Along with his responsibilities of main- taining discipline and supervising tardiness and attendance, Mr. Elmer teaches Latin. Th is year he. is instructing students in all four years of Latin. 14
