and an Awareness of the World Around Us Well, class, Will it expand? SCIENCE DEPARTMENT To make students aware of the world around them is one of the primary goals of the science department at G.H.S. Under the direction of Mr. Robert W. Card, this department offers a variety of courses suited to every interest. In general science the beginnings of the physical sciences such as matter, heat and elements, are studied. These principles are later pursued more ex- tensively in College Physics and Chemistry. Biology and Physiology are studies of living organisms, from an amoeba to the human body, while Practical Physics and Practical Chemistry teach more about the applications of scientific ideas to every day life.
