Mr. Arthur N. Smith Principal To the Class of 1952: It is pleasant for us of the faculty to see you reach the graduation time for which you have worked during the past four years. We are glad with you that you have reached the first major goal of your lives. Yet, in a way, we are sorry to see you leave our school to go on your separate ways. You have been a good class. The world into which you now move is a troubled world. All the won- derful and speedy means of communication at our disposal tell us so, con- tinually and emphatically. But the world has always been troubled, and youth has always moved courageously into it to assume obligations not of their making, and to perform duties not of their own choice. It is now your turn. The world is still your oyster; there are pearls waiting in it for you to find. Wherever you go and whatever you do, we wish you luck. We have tried to steer you into the habits and ways which have engendered success throughout history. We hope we have helped you. We hope we have given you the tools with which you can help yourselves. Good luck. Arthur N. Smith, Principal
