Glamor and toughness proves that Gloucester High has what it takes to accomplish a great homecoming: lovely ladies and a great football team. The queen and her court were radiant while the oppos¬ ing football team was devoured by the mighty Dukes. There’s nothing like the beat the band plays before they come on the field, or the cry of “We will fight, fight, fight for Gloucester,” after our guys score a touchdown. Football games are always filled with music, but homecoming over¬ flows. Halftime is prolonged into a song and dance number by the band, drill team, flag team, and majorettes. Then the ’78 homecoming court was announced. Freshman attend. — Michelle Hogge, Sopho¬ more attend. — Patty West, Junior — Patton Conner, Sen¬ ior atten. — Betina Wolfche- sky, Maid of Honor — Toni Par- moda. Janice Olivis was Homecom¬ ing queen of 1978. The big secret was finally out, and it was worth waiting for. n
