In the winter he's always wide awake by the time school starts because he's been duck hunting since the crack of dawn. All spare time he devotes lo riding around in Linton's ‘49 Ford. Hobby: Watching Hagan and Marie make time in the halls. Goal: To own a new car. Favorite Saying: Who is it this week, Hagan7” Pet Peeve: Waiting for a pass from Hagan. Activities Football 3.4; Baseball 3.4; Basketball 3,4. JOHN WILLIAM BURROWS 219 Warren St. General Academic Bed ’Red' is one of our good-looking but bashful classmates. His devotion to baseball consumes most of his time, and we hope for his sake that Cincinnati wins the pennant in the near future. Hobby: Baseball. Goal: To see Cincinnati win the pennant. BUTTERFIELD 1 Second St., Brooklawn General Academic Joe Joe” is quiet, happy-go-lucky, and friendly. He likes to fill up his car with his buddies and then cruise around. As for school, well, he was intensely interested in chemistry. Hobby: My car. Goal: To have fun. Favorite Saying: All right.” Pet Peeve: Democracy. Broadway College Entrance in Arts Jane Jane is both sophisticated and flirtatious, but her friendliness and sincerity make her a loyal friend. Her easy smile and cute ways will al- ways be remembered in our hearts. Hobby: Collecting boyfriends. Goal: To be a Navy nurse. Favorite Saying: This has to last me forever.” Pet Peeve: Homework. MATTHEW HUGO CHAMBERS 210 Browning Lane, Brooklawn Industrial Arts Matt Matt” can usually be seen with Joe Butterfield. When not cruising around in Joe's car. he is joking with the gang. Matt, hardly ever bash- ful, makes many friends with his pleasant ways. Hobby: Hunting and fishing. Goal: To have a farm and about thirty hunting dogs with Pancoast. JUNE IRENE CRAMP 10 Stites Ave. Commercial Peanut” If good things do come in small packages, then Peanut” must be very good. Although she is the small- est representative of the class, she has carved a big place out in our memories with her many humorous jokes and natural vivacity. Hobby: Swimming. Goal: To get married. ELSIE MAY ABNETT 230 Morris St. Commercial “Eli Elsie gets teased by the boys more than any girl in our class, but she has proved that she can take it. Elsie is one of our quiet seniors; we seldom even know she is around. As she is one of our more attentive stu- dents, she is sure to attain her goal. Hobby: Going to Collingswood. Goal: To graduate. ADDIS 609 Hunter St. General Academic Smiles’ Smiles is the tall, silent type. His dazzling smile has caused many an eyelash to flutter. And that cap- tivating shyness of his has raised his popularity among the girls to almost movie-fan proportions. Hobby: Woodworking. Goal: To be successful. Favorite Saying: You don't know, do you? Brooklawn College Entrance in Arts Tish Interested in becoming a physical education teacher. Tish heaped honors' upon herself in all girls sports. She understands ihe value of team work and tried to apply it by helping in our class activities. Hobby: Sports. Goal: To be a physical education teacher. Favorite Saying: Holy Chistopher! If you can find Chalie. you're sure to find Pat. She dislikes people who break promises so look out, Chalie.” Hobby: Singing and going out with Chalie. A star basketball player, the most popular girl in the class, and the most effi- cient class treasurer in the school's history—all these are Blankie. Hobby: Eating, dancing, and Thomps! Brown St. Commercial Dot'' Though she is on the quiet side, ' Dot'' has won the friendship of all her classmates She always has a smile for everyone and her pleasant smile has been a balm to us these last four tempestuous years. LOUISA WALLINE FINGER 28 Railroad Ave. College Entrance in Fine Arts Tootsie “Tootsie is active in so many things. She sings; she studies, she belongs to the Student Council. She likes to be in things, and she com- pletes her responsibilities well and cheerfully. Hobby: Writing letters to Bill. Goal: To keep all my friends happy as long and as much as possible.
