Dare To Be Different A theme that sums up the Class of 1985 and challenges the Arles staff to look beyond past books and create a fresh, new look. A theme that spills over from a daring class to daring changes in 1984-85 - from renovations that moved the main offices to the other end of the building, to Saturdoy detentions. A theme that is probably best symbolized in this book's dedica- tion to Father Pete Sullivan whose dignity and daring in his last year on earth challenged all of us to live beyond the ordinary. Endure SI anbju((noA„ ©a OJ. 3JDQ Never Measure The Height Of A Mountain Until You Have Climbed it. Then You Will See How Low It Really Is. Fr. Peter Sullivan August 10, 1940-August 2, 1984 Aries 1985 is dedicated to Father Peter Sullivan who never stopped to measure the mountains that he had to climb. We all remember him with love and miss him with intensity. A few who knew him very well share some of those memories. How do you adequately comment on someone as superior as Fr. Peter Sullivan? I am lost for words but realize the years I worked for Father were very inspiring and rewarding. His inter- est in the students and everyone he came in contact with was genuine. My life has been enriched by my asso- ciafion with Father Pete. - Marge Haughey Peter's life is the story of following two roads on a journey of Faith: the search for truth and the pursuit of excelllence. He taught us to value honesty above all else because hon- esty is where the search for truth be- gins. His life was one of concern for others, disdain for mediocrity, and honesty with oneself, neighbor, and God. These were the paths that Peter taught us to walk. - Ed Beckett ”1 want to be with those kids. I want to go on that trip. “I want to speak at that graduation. All this while his body, filled with pain, said it was time to give up. - Fr. Mike Manion “As busy as he may have been, he always had time for everyone. Even when he was doubled over with pain, his dedication kept him in the guid- ance office doing even more for the students. - Dennis Forward “Father Peter Sullivan was the most forgiving and non-judgemental man I ever met. Time and again I watched him establish relationships with teen- agers others had given up on. If I learned anything from Father, It was that each and every human being Is precious in the sight of God, that none of us has any right to ignore or discard anyone. - Dave Coghlan Diocese Of Camden Most Reverend George H. This year s staff had the benefit of the experienced leadership of co- editors Michelle McCarty and Karen Hammill and assistant editor Chris DiSilvestro. All three have been on the Aries staff since their Freshman year at Gloucester Catholic In addition. Frank Walsh, se- nior transfer from Camden Catholic, added his expertise. Further support came from Roxanne Noonan, Julie Pierentozzi. Beth Scott. Joanne Gorman. Melissa Noonan. National Honor Society Installation Pep si Generation Gloucester Catholic Pep Rallies, led by Mr. O'Brien's Pep Club, generate as much electricity as Michael Jackson and his Pepsi commercials. One of our best pep rallies this year starred Mr. Kruc as homecoming queen and Tom Orzechowski, Brian Green, Joe Scanlon, Vince Vitola. and Will Vespe as his court. Further glamour was provided by Dennis Murphy, winner of the traditional sexy legs contest. In the ugly department there was Julie Smith as the Irish and Chris Neider, Nancy Dewechter, Gina Miserendino, Sarah McDonald, and Helenanne Walker portraying the other half of the homecoming court. As usual the fuel for all the fireworks came from the stands as each class at Glouchester Catholic tried to be tops in spirit. Pep Club: Row 1: K. Evans, P Gussen. M Flynn, C. Dickson. M Bryson. C. Mrs Narducci put together a list of over one hundred and fifty volunteers to monitor hallways during class time. The job of these students is to check passes of any students who are out of class, remind people not to go to their lockers between classes, and generally help anyone who might need directions. Thanks to student aides in the library and hallways, confusion is kept to a minimum and learning to a maximum. Rampage The school newspaper. These events are the two-mile run, and the Manne Physical Fitness Test. Students will prepare and train year round in hopes of bettering their times from previous years The hopeful athletes are taken by bus to Johnson Boulevard Track Once there, they stretch and prepare. The time approaches Mr O'Brien raises his hands The class tenses, his hands drop, and they're off! Four grueling times around a twisting menace. There are those who complete the test in 12 minutes or under. Others, how- ever. are still out there. Yes. Gloucester Catholic is filled with many traditions. Unfortunately, the two-mile run had to be one of them. The Manne Physical Fitness Test is administered twice a year at Gloucester Catholic, once in the fall, and again in the spring The test measures your fitness very well Every piece of junk-food that you ate during the summer will show up when you are doing your sit-ups. The test is comprised of five parts and is usually finished m one 75- mmute period. There are sit-ups and push- ups. the standing yard jump, and the 300 yard -run. the pull-ups for the boys and the bent arm hang for the girls All in all the test is pretty tough, but it's not the test that the students dread so much as the day after!! Shape Iron Works Mr. Rafferty's Weightlifting Club is in its second year and growing in popularity. Equipment includes benches, an incline bench. Lot's machine, leg curl, squat rack, power rack, dumbbells ranging from five to fifty pounds, four Olympic barbell sets, and close to three thousand pounds in weights. More than a hundred students, including athletes from almost every sport in school, use the newly painted weight room in the basement of the annex. Mr. Rafferty's immediate goal is to get the program up to the point where partici- pants can enter weightlifting competi- tions with other schools. Emphasis in the weight room is not only on the building of muscles but also on the building of self confidence. 40 Above Kyle McKinney gets weighed in Left: Pat McCarthy works on arm strength A Season Of Sharing The usual Christmas caroling, homeroom decorating, and gift exchanging were all a part of Gloucester Catholic's usual holiday festivities. But in a season better known for celebration and feasting, Gloucester Cath- olic students took time out to fast. Under the leadership of Student Council and the Na- tional Honor Society, a week in December was set aside to focus attention on world hunger and to raise money for starving peo- ple in Ethiopia. Stop Hunger tags were sold in homerooms all during the week and Thursday was marked by a school fast dur- ing colloquim. On Friday many faculty and students gave up lunch and contributed their lunch money to the hunger fund. Water was sold by students in the cafeteria for fifty cents a cup to remind everyone of how pre- cious this commodity can be if you don't have enough of it. By the end of the week, Fr. Pierce reported that over eleven hun- dred dollars would be sent as Gloucester Catholic's Christmas gift to the hungry of the earth. It Was Loverly This year the Gloucester Catholic Players put on their production of an old favorite. My Fair Lady. The show was under the direction of Mrs. Brad- ley and choreographed by Dolores Patrone. Additional support was giv- en by Mr. Rafferty and Mr. Flynn on stage crew, Mrs. McIntyre on make- up, and Mrs. Chalmers on costumes. The play is set in 1912 and is cen- tered around two characters - Eliza Dolittle (Heather Tessmer) and Henry Higgins (Pete Naughton). Supporting roles were given to Vince Vitola as Col. Pickering, Mike Raube as Mr. Do- little, Rick Fountas as Freddie, and Christa Joie as Mrs. Higgins. Other cast members included Michelle McCarty, Lynn Garzynski, Greg Heisler, Sean Mulholland, Bill Quinn, John Aldridge, Joe Evans, Bob Pino, John Jackowski, Doug Willet, Marc Raspa, Kathy Teri- fay, Amy McKenna, Chris Campbell, Stacey Bullinger, Jacquie Stokes, Jeff Barney, Mike Hampton, Tom Orze- chowski, Joe Scanlon, John Thorpe, Linda McGinley, Michelle Cilurso, An- thony Gizzie, Pat Beckett. Mike Ken- ney, Tasha Gregal, Mary Beth Blessing, and Dave Burdy. These char- acter roles were ably backed up by students in the chorus and on the stage crew. In all over a hundred stu- dents and faculty joined together to put on another outstanding Glouces- ter Catholic production. i c h o r u s Gloucester Catholic Chorus: Paula Coward, Kathleen Evans, Christa Joie. Linda McGinley. Frank Walsh, Michele Cilurso. Chris Seffrin, Tasha Gregal, Michelle McCarty. Tina Falkenstein, Donna Auerswald. Knowledge Bowl The Knowledge Bowl airs on NYT Cable TV. It consists of thir- ty-three schools competing for fifty thousand dollars in scholar- ships. Each school gets $780. for each match won. Glouces- ter Catholic's team this year consisted of Andy Russo (cap- tain). Eric Ciambrano. Jim De- laney, and Pat Hughes. Alternates were John Prender- gast, Leo Dubler, and Andrew Dubler. The team was coached by Mrs. Furlanetto. Hail And Farewell This past year the Gloucester Catholic family reluctantly bid farewell to three teachers whose presence and talents are very widely missed: Mr. Kruc. Mr Powers, and Mr Coleman We sent them off to new challenges in new places with deep appreciation for all the love and concern they had poured into Gloucester Catholic In a year that seemed filled with changes we also welcomed Mr John Sa- ponora (upper left) and Mr. Sam Orlando (upper right). Perfect Combination 46 I' The Juniors found the perfect combination for the prom under the twinkling lights of the Starlight Room at the Cherry Hill Inn on a warm spring evening. A glass eleva- tor carried couples up to the top of the Cherry Hill Inn where thousands of tiny white lights in the ceiling com- bined with mirrored walls to create a magical atmosphere. Several ar- rived in rented limosines, many wore white dresses with hoop skirts, and one dared to be different in Nike sneakers. Music ranged from soft ballads to something livelier for break dancing competitions be- tween Joe Fountas and Mr. Murphy. It was the perfect combination of hard work all year by the Juniors and Mrs. Chalmers, their advisor, that brought about an evening that was as unforgettable as such special evenings should be. The prom court pictured at right consisted of Joe Scanlon, Mary Lam- pugh, Sam Lesky, Kathi Sweeney, Queen Gina Miserendino. King Tom Orzechowski, Christine Neider, An- thony Marcella, Nancy Dewechter, and Vince Vitola. Wednesday. September 5. was the first day of the rest of their high school Nves for the class of 1988. The day began with all the Freshmen attending a special Mass and liturgy in the gym Then it was time for the soon to become very familiar walk over to the annex and their homerooms Confusion reigned as Freshmen tried to figure out how to get from Room 302 in the main building to Room 033 in the Annex in five minutes and how to deal with a stubborn locker that wouldn't open no matter how hard you kicked it White blouses were a little more wrinkled and ties sagged a bit. but the Freshmen left determined to have their handbooks and locker combinations memorized by Monday. Welcome Class Of 1988 48 Presto - Chango Many students who came looking for Fr. Martelli in his office this September were in for a surprise. Over the summer both the main office and Father's office were moved from their comfortable old spot next to the library to the Ridgeway Street side of the build- ing. An attractive and professional looking foyer, a large glass window, and doors that only admit you at Mrs. Reed's command, provided a fresh, new enterance to Gloucester Catholic. Father Martelli's new office looked like the picture on the left until just a couple of days before school started. But by the time the school year got down to serious business. Father was comfortably set- tled in with new wallpaper, rugs, a shower, and lots of room for all his souvenirs. Hammonton Hosts President Reagan And Fr. Martelli When Reagan and Bush and Mon- dale and Ferraro were not busy de- bating each other on television this fall, they were out visiting big cities and little towns across the country. One little town on the campaign trail for President Reagan was Hammon- ton, New Jersey - blueberry capital of the world. Gloucester Catholic was well represented dt the rally by Fr. Martelli and Mr. Coleman. Father was even interviewed for the eve- ning news and gave his views on what he felt President Reagan should do for education. A quick glance at the photo on the left and you'll spot a familiar face at Gloucester Catholic. We tried to ar- range for a picture of Fr. Martelli and the President but the Secret Service wouldn't cooperate. 49 Homecoming Highlights The weather was sunny and perfect and even the score approached perfec- tion as Gloucester Catholic defeated rival Camden Catholic at this year's Home- coming Game At halftime Vince Vitola and Chris Neider were crowned King ond Queen and the senior class paraded in their Disney World float The celebration continued that evening as a record num- ber of students crowded the gym for the traditional Homecoming Dance The weather forecast in the gym changed from bright and sunny to Purple Rain thanks to the creativity of Mrs. Chalmers and her senior committee Homecoming Court headliners were (top row. left to right) Vince Vitola and Sarah McDonald. Brian Green and Chris Neider. Joe Scanlon and Gina Miseren- dino. Tom Orzechowski and Nancy Dewechter. and Will Vespe and Helen- anne Walker. On the field, star plays came from an enthusiastic offense and a solid defensive line. It was the kind of game that featured total team contribu- tion rather than one or two outstanding players. Juniors Join The Ranks Of Upperclassmen This year's Junior Ring Mass was held on November 21, 1984 at St. Mary's Church. The Mass was celebrated by Fr. Martelli along with vice principle Fr. J. Sullivan and Fr. Pierce. The highlight of the evening for the juniors was the presentation of the 1986 Class rings. Music was provided by Mrs. Bradley and the Gloucester Catholic Choir. A dance and a reception followed where juniors enjoyed colorful sandwiches and lively music directed by D.J., Tom Reed. The success of the Junior Ring Mass and Dance is credited to Miss Ganly, Junior Moderator, and alot of hard working Juniors. The theme WE BE- LONG”, expressed the Juniors' feelings of finally belonging as upper- classmen in the Gloucester Catholic family. Safari On Thursday. November 8, 1984, the Sophomore Class gathered in celebration of the Mass at St. Mary's Church. The principle celebrant was Fr. Martelli and music was provided by Mrs. Bradley, accompanied by a select group of Sophomores. Soloist Chris Seffrin along with Mr. Beckett playing the guitar, performed a dedication to the Sophomores. At the conclusion of the Mass, all were invited to the school cafeteria for refresh- ments. At 8:30 parents were dismissed as Sophomores began to Pop and Break . The lead songs of this Safari Hop were Jun- gle Love and Lets Go Crazy . All involved enjoyed the food and fun times. Hundreds Of Stars On Hundreth Night Faculty and students gathered to share a few memories and lots of laughs in the tradi- tional celebration of one hundred days be- fore graduation. Mrs. DeBarger's English class. Mr. Scharff's office, and the hallway haunts of Mr. Nark's Gestapo squad were among the scenes that were recreated in the cafeteria that night. Head coach Larry Baron and assistant coaches Charlie Mar- onski and Jim Cooper helped the Varsity team to a 12-11 season. The high spirit of the players helped them through their season and was espe- cially needed during their most diffi- cult and best game against Triton. The team qualified for the State Tournament and many of the senior players made All Star and All Paro- chial. In addition Lisa Angelotti was named to the New Jersey All Star second team by the Courier Post. Both Lisa and Andrea Burgo made Gloucester County Times All Star first team. The JV team, coached by Coo- per and Maronski, finished their sea- son 10-7. Some of the JV girls also played on Varsity during the State tournament and contributed more of the same spirit and enthusiasm that is the hallmark of girls' softball at Gloucester Catholic. R Block On Course Despite a cksappontng record, the season was a success because there were a number of personal goals reoched by individual athletes Several students attorned ther goals by sea- son's end but two standouts were Nick Sirria n the 100. 200. and 400 meters, and Ron Block in the 800 meters and 400 relay m his first yeor as head coo- ch. Mr Bob MeClusky and his assistant Mr Tom Flynn, began to build a pro- gram that reflected ther dedication to hard work and steady mprovement A young team and a tough schedule combined to make the spring season a disappointing one for girl's track in terms of how many meets were actually won. However the team finished the year with fifteen runners which is an increase over previous years and the majority of these were freshmen and sophomores. Mary Sigmund who ran the 800 was the team's most valuable player and Sue Steckel was a freshman standout in the 1600 and 3200. Eileen Cole ran well in every distance from 100 to 1600 meters and Sue Block is the school record holder in the 400 hurdles. These and other individual ac- complishments. plus the enthusi- asm generated by Mr. Heath, point to big improvements in track over the next couple of years. Jil Sisco. Michele McCarty. Sue Block. The tennis team has battled back from four-win seasons m 1981 and 1982. to a 13-win season last year. And in 1984 their hard work culmi- nated in a 14 win season and the South Jersey Parochial B championship. The foundation has been laid. There are a score of players coming out for the team ev- ery year and the competition to become one of the top seven players is fierce. The team was voted the eleventh best team in South Jersey by the Courier Post and the players are anxious to top that next year The team was again led by John Lavin who won 15 matches and played the number one singles position for the fourth straight year The varsity line-up by season s end was John at first singles. Vince Vitola at second singles, and Mick Rullo at third singles Our consistently winning doubles teams were Chris Campbell and Mike Raub at first doubles, and Dan Gen- daszek and Brian Lozuke at second doubles Pete Naughton and Rich Colletti were often used as varsity subs. For the first time in the history of tennis at Gloucester Catholic, there was enough tal- ent and enthusiasm to create a separate JV tennis team The JV were 2-3 in the five matches that they played Rich Colletti led the team at first singles and was backed up by juniors Bill Crowe. Rick Grubb, and Mike Ramsey, sophomores Dave Coyle and Jeff Gervasi, and freshmen John Aldridge. Matt Campbell, and Joe Evans Above Varsity team about to board Ram bus. After a disap- pointing season last year, they came up to a 5-7 record this year within their conference. Kathleen Evans was 7-9 playing in the diffi- cult first singles spot and Kathy Kerley had an outstanding 8-3 re- cord playing in the second and third spots. Suzi O'Connor was an outstanding newcomer among alot of fresh, new talent. Both Kathleen Evans and Kathy Kerly played in post season competi- tion. Team members included S. McDonald, R. Noonan, K. Evans, K. Kerley, K. McKenna, P. Narcisi. K. Underwood. S. O'Connor, C. Bobiak, L. Neumann, and L. Russo. Captains Michele Hampton and Julie Rozanski added a lot of leader- ship to the overall effort. Defensively Gina Quinlan, Chris Neider, and Jill Crosson made it very tough for op- ponents to score. Offensively the team's high scorers were Terry Klatt and Michelle Hampton. Both of these girls received All Conference Honorable Mention along with Jill Crosson. Michelle was also named to All South Jersey Parochial Team. Other varsity team members pic- tured below were Mary Bryson, Mary Flynn, Karen Morris, Beth Pas- cal, Fran Thomas, Patrice Allison, Lisa Rink, Stacey Koppleman, Chris Ern- hearth, and Monica Barkley. The JV team pictured at the top of the page also hung tough all season with many players who have the potential for bright futures on the varsity level. Members of the JV were S. Flynn, J. Flinn, E. Muldoon, A. Dougherty, M. Gilligan, S. Lindner, A. Pierzinski, M. Polidoro, C. Polidoro, T. Raphael, R. Read, and T. Wolf. Ruggeri Coach Ward with Senior Captains Joe Harkins and Bill Savage Winning Tradition The 1984 Rams football team compiled an overall record of 5-4. It achieved this in one of the most competitive conferences in the state. The season was highlighted by a 6-0 victory over 20 ranked Over- brook and a 20-7 victory over Camdem Catholic at our homecoming. The team had its ups and downs during the year, but was always competitive. In his first season as coach. Frank Ward achieved Gloucester Catholic's first winning record in four years. The team accomplished more than anyone expected of them in the preseason and outgoing seniors can be proud of the respect they have brought back to the program. This year's JV was coached by Tom Flynn and Rich Horan. Although they did not achieve the same suc- cess as the Varsity (JV record was 4-4), they always went into the game to win. The experience gained this season will help next year's team to carry on the newly established winning tradition. 76 Cooch Jay with his team behind him: M. Puma. G Wade, J. Klaus. J Lee (manager), J. The team record this year was 3-14-1 but with almost aH players returning next year, they expect to be getting better much sooner Goals Galore Coach John DeVito describes the fall season as an unqualified success as an 8-11-1 record enabled the team to secure second place m the division. Allamby USA TODAY recently reported that Girls' Cross Country is the fast- est growing high school sport in America At Gloucester Catholic the teom is both fastly growing and growing faster. Coach Jack Heath reports that this year's team is the best ever at Gloucester Catholic in terms of talent and numbers Usually there are two or three girls on the Gloucester team who run under 30 minutes, but this year all 13 girls on the team run between 21 and 26 minutes Best of all the team is blessed with some outstanding freshmen Melanie Mullens. Maria Madson. and Janme Nestore are three of the top freshmen in all of South Jersey This year's team was lead by senior co-captains Jil Sisco and Lynn Garczynski. Junior Mary Sigmund has to be consid- ered the best runner ever at Gloucester Catholic. And following closely behind these lead runners are Sue Steckel and Eileen Cole. The rest of the team porvided needed depth. Carolyn Hagg. Cheryl Jae. Donna lacovone. Amy McKenna and Desiree Watson all did well in their first year of cross country, consistently placing in the top ten in meets Team members pictured at right are (Bottom) M. Sigmund. E. Cole. Joie and A McKenna. 80 In the late seventies Coach Jack Heath was a mem- ber of the Gloucester Catholic Cross Country team that was a powerhouse, putting together streaks of 18 and 19 wins. Mr. Heath thinks we may be returning to those days of glory. Despite losing its top-five runners from last year, this year's team actually improved. Only one minute separated the first and ninth runners on the team. Nick Simila was the top runner this year and he was followed closely by Freshman Mike Hamp- ton. Hampton and Tom Magee are two of the top Freshman runners in South Jersey. David March. Andy Wodarczyk. Dan Magee, Mike McCarty, and Jim De- laney all ran under 19 minutes to form the Ram's pack of runners. They were joined by Rich Piasecki. Dave Townsend, Joe Falcone and Sean Roberts. All twelve letter winners cut between two and ten min- utes off their race times. Team members pictured at left are (Bottom) A. Wo- darczyk, R. Piasecki. K. Davis. T. Magee, J. Falcone. M. Hampton, (Stairs) J. Delaney. N. Simila, D. March, D. Townsend. M. McCarthy. S. Roberts, and D. Magee Stars And Strikes The bowling team coached by Mr. O'Brien had an outstanding season. Both boys' and girls' teams had winning records while competing in the tough Olympic Conference The boys' team is led by Bill Clay who has been a con- sistently good bowler with the highest average on the team Bill is ably assist- ed by Bill Gee, Russ Cullen. Wayne Ka- vanaugh. Jim Adamski. Steve Doyle, and Rich Colletti. The boys' JV. led by Bill Crowe, finished second in the league Don Heimerl again was the leader on the girls' team. She is a leading bowler within the League and should be long remembered as a consistently strong bowler in South Jersey. Other Varsity girl bowlers are KAthy Payne. Marlene Sansini. Colleen Finn. Kim Emery, and Barb Jordan The girls' JV also did well and were led by LeeAnn Thompson. Clair Allamby. Sue Mascibroda. Kathi Sweeney, and Sue Burleigh Beside our scholastic competitors we also had many students who practiced bowled two or three times a week. In all there are over forty students who are active in the bowling program. Young Team Growing Stronger Gloucester Catholic's second swim season was a successful one. The record of 2-12 doesn't tell the whole story. This year's team had alot of spirit and showed it at the meets. There were many school records bro- ken and personal goals set. Under the leadership of this year's cap- tains, Lizann McComb and Sharon Pusey, the team went to the South Jersey Sectional Champi- onships and did well. The girls fin- ished eighth and the boys finished ninth. There was even a state qualifier, Sharon Pusey, in the div- ing competition. This year's team was extremely young, made up mostly of Freshmen and Sopho- mores, and this youth will be an important asset to the future of swimming at Gloucester Catholic. Bottom Row C. Mulford. This year's wrestling team, coached by Ron Cockrell, Nick Mari- na, Joe Rafferty, and Marco Berna- dino, showed lots of improvement and broke more than one school re- cord. The season overall could have been better but injuries and lack of depth turned up a 7-10-1 record plus a playoff berth. The six wins in one season broke a team record. Individual records were broken by Sam Lesky who had most wins in one season (16), and Mike McConville who had most wins over four years (52). Wrestling Front: Pat Scanlon. With Kathie Beisel in her sec- ond year as coach, starters Terry Klatt, Joanne Brandt, Kelly McCartney, Jill Cros- son, and Kim Dott made up a very re- laxed and close-knit yet disciplined team. Kris Turing, Chris Delaney, Patti David, Mary Burkhardt, and Michele Hampton filled out this talented team who ended the season with a conference record of 13-10. Gloucester Catholic's winning tra- dition in girls' basketball make them a dangerous opponent within the confer- ence and outside the conference. The team rebounded however, with a three game winning streak which allowed them to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in several years The year's highlights included a very exciting win against Bishop Eus- toce and a very close loss (81 - 7 7) to superpower Woodrow Wilson, a game m which Will Vespe led the assault with a career high 39 points Will also achieved his 1000th point in mid season and was a team leoder along with co-captains Brian Green and Mike Lindner Mr Murphy, in his first year as varsity coach, was very proud of his hard working team Varsity players in team picture at center included Bill Green. It is, in a very real sense, a record of memories -your memories-the memories you hold both individually and in common as students of Gloucester Catholic. It is my sincere hope that those memories are pleasant ones; ones which you will cherish throughout your lives. It is my hope that your days here at Gloucester Catholic have been enjoyable as well as filled with learning and growth. You have received an education that will serve you well throughout your lives, and the memories within these pages will serve you in those quiet moments when you turn your thoughts back to the days you spent with us. You chose as your theme Dare to be Different . In a culture as diverse and challeng- ing as ours that is a meaningful choice. Yes, dare to be different, walk to the beat of a dif- ferent drummer, and your lives will be full and rewarding. My wish and challenge for you is: Don’t go where the path leads, Rather go where there is no path And leave a trail. Be healthy, be happy, be sucessful. May God always guide you and protect you, and may His presence permeate your lives. Fr. Martelli 143 From Spirit Week Senior Directory James Adamski 733 Green Mount Ave. Deptford. N.J.
