CURRICULUM Man has an intense desire to know and learn every- thing . . (St. Thomas Aquinas). This zeal for knowledge, so aptly expressed in the words of St. Thomas Aquinas, has always been well represented by the students of Gloucester Catholic. In all classes from English to mathematics, this desire is essential to intellectual growth and understanding. In the light of these facts, the academic curriculum of Gloucester Catholic has always been stressed. No matter how im- portant the extra-curricula activities may seem, the formal education courses remain uppermost in the minds of the students. The young people who have followed this idea graduate well-rounded adults who are capable of accepting the challenges of daily life.

Father Burns instructs the freshmen boys to a deeper knowledge and understanding of the events of the public life of Christ.
