Dr. Herron is one of the most dedicated Christians of our time. He 'has given a part of his life and spirit to Glorieta. A spirit that will always remain in the heart of each individual who enters the gates of Glorieta. Many times he has been seen joking with fellow staffers and guests. A senior at El Paso High School, john hopes to go to Baylor and major in religion. LINDA SHAIN is the staff favorite that received a standing ovation when her name was called. She is a junior religious education major at Hannibal- LaGrange College. FIRST SIX WEEKS JOE LASALANDRA is El Paso's contribution to the Texas Technological College freshman basketball team. joe La was a member of the Glorieta rec crew MARCIA HEARN, a student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, served as staff recreation director. Marcia, a graduate of Howard College, is from Nashville. 2ND SIX WEEKS LYNNETTE MCDONALD specializes in voice and piano at Delta State College in Mississippi. Lyn- nette, a former staffer, is from Shelby, Miss. PAUL KITCHENS, one of the Linen Brothers, a junior English major at Louisiana State Univer sity. He is from Minden, La. STAFF FAVORITES CAROL JOLLY is Glorieta's jolly mu- sic-maker at Mississippi State College for Women. A soprano pianist, Carol lives in Meridian, Miss. CHRIS RHODES, Northeast Louisiana State College's one hope for a winning basketball season, is a sophomore from Monterey, La. Marked by organization and more organization the first six weeks, the book finally began to take form during the last days of the summer. Deadline hours hurried production as pictures were fitted to copy and pages were sent to their maker--the publisher. Then editor Sarah Cutter, who replaced Sandy Hale after'Sandy's departure, breathed a sigh of relief and went home to Nebraska. Ap' .- .. mn. FIRST SIX WEEKS THE STAFF SCRIBBLES After work a small group of staff members gathered around the table of an upstairs room in New Mexico Hall. When they emerged they carried with them G1orieta's first 1965 edition of THE STAFF SCRIBBLES. First session editors Linda Shain and George Mims yielded all rights and privileges thereof to second session editor Pat Erickson, assisted by jeff Cox. Mimeographed on white paper, the SCRIBBLES recorded activities of the staff and provided features on staffers. These papers now reside in the scrapbooks of 350 high school and college students.
