' s IU o , x ,. .,.,. Ms. A - A T 3' T' ffl y if A,A T, i Marcia Hearn, joe Love, Lauren Holcomb Richard Thomas, Roberta Tamble June 10. . . That's the night that the I-Ierron Staffers produced the colorful Tal- ent Show in Holcomb Auditorium. The boistrous crowd echoed the success of each participant as he concluded his performance. Many interpretations of entertainment included Dan Bishop's ridiculous idea of the game of football. The Letters , a humorous reading, was done by Peggy Randall. joe Love, Marcia Hearn, and Lauren Holcomb enlightened the audience with Music and Laughter . A three-part skit of married life was vividly portrayed through the actions of Roberta Tamble and Richard Thomas. In addition, Jackie Hipp and his friend were the center of a riotous ventriloquist act. Cynthia McConathy articulately enounced the reading Sounds With Sense. A medley of song was presented by Carole Monroe, who was followed by Carlos Rodriguez' misty interpretation of Celito Lindo. Harris Coe delivered an original oration about His Family . In addition to all this, Clyde Ross played a beautiful arrangement of Last Date . As a grand conclusion to a wonderful evening, Claudia Stoker gave an impressive, dramatic reading of MAN WITHOUT A COUNTRY. june 17. . . The staff left New Mexico Hall in files of two. This enthusiastic group of three hundred was all smiles and laughter. Nothing could be as ex- citing as an hour hike through bushes and shrubs, and an informal cook- out in the valley beyond. Penny Sudberry, Saundra Luns- dum, Barbara Morgan, Elaine McKay, Charlotte Sutherland, and Marilyn Hatcher were responsible for the weiners and fixings that were enjoyed by everyone. Providing light en- tertainment, Marica Hearn, Clyde Ross, Lynn Simmons, and joe Jaime sang. Ken Barousse, guitar, and Tim Arwood, violin, were the able accompanists. As the evening drew nigh, Mrs. Dickson led the staffers in a highly inspirational devotional that centered around a brilliantly illuminated cross, high atop the peak of Lookout Mountain. A true spirit of a very real and living God reigned in the hearts and minds of all those privileged to attend. 74
