Exciting Days to ebruary 15, 1985, in Mike, Frank and Larry boarded their bus to begin their journey into government. Every morning the boys woke up at 6:30 a.m. to go to conventions to listen to speakers such as Rose Mofford, a former graduate of G.H.S. They ran for offices on the city, coun- ty and state levels. Recrea- tion was also part of their day. The boys said the value of the trip was increasing their knowledge of govern- ment while meeting people and having fun. June 3, 1985, Jeannie, Beverly and Arvella headed to U of A for Girls' State. On arrival, they unpacked and went to their first meeting to elect council and learn how to hold city meetings. The schedule of events was running for offices, par- ticipating in pep rallies and watching a murder trial. Gina was a Junior at Globe High. She was a yearbook photographer, a cadet in the Jr. ROTC and a com- pany commander. Also during the High School years, she lettered in basketball, volleyball and softball, and was a teacher assistant and of- fice aide. Gina par- ticipated in community activities as a volunteer worker in the Candy Stripers at Gila General Hospital and as a member of the Fellowship of Chris- tian Athletes and the Rainbow girls. She tried to live life to the fullest. It was as if she wanted to touch, taste, and feel everything in her limited lifetime. She loved being part of the class of 87. Sports were her main in- terests, she not only loved to play in sports but to cheer for others while they played. Gina was a people person and always made time for others. People always felt like they could talk to her because she was always so honest and open-minded. Z N Surprise! Surprise! This is what I call love! 'B Please!
