and Sons owned by Don Waggoner his wife the former Zelma Wallace and their five sons Next to that was a studio for graceful fainting instructors were Roberta Bartlett and Roberta Holsinger On a bill board we saw that Ray Montgomerys orchestra was appearing at the localnight club the night club was owned by Odis Fisher The sign was drawn by Virginia Goodman now well known artist La Vonne Evans now owns the swankiest dress shop in town La Vonne was talented in making clothes even in high school Doris .Tones now owns the Greenwich Inn We stopped at the next sign it read Barnes steel workers cafeteria e had the pleasure of eating with the owner Richard Barnes The restaurant was drafty Don told Richard that he should have his air conditioning system checked but when Richard said that Mary Metzler was at the other side of the room we knew the reason for the wind Richard gave us he lowdown on some classmates Charles Pauley is president of Olivet College Mary Pennington is married and living in the hills of Kentucky. Dorothy Keeney is trying to get Bernedia Barnetts job as stenographer at W P A Y. Darrell Williams is announcer there No one has seen Lorneda Schmid but we took it for granted that she also had taken the fatal step and had gone tojoin Mary in Kentucky. Several classmates were now teachers at dear old GHS. Ruth Thompson was teaching music. Oscar Emshwiller and Dick Oakes were the coaches Paul Ruark 'IH' A' ' QC and Marvin Bowling had been riding the coaches pretty hard They couldnt under stand why their boys weren t playing first string Clarice Davis was teaching Home Economics She decided that t o 1 a family wasn t enough teachers after all Matrimony hadn t taken too many Kathryn Lawson didn t intend to let her sisters out do her She nabbed Milbourne Bowling Betty Martin has become a housewife to a boy whom we didn t know Kathryn Nel son is still happily married to Jiggs Por ter After a fine meal and an enjoyable talk we left the restaurant Next on our list was a drive through the country F1 nally we did see some of our old friends of course they were not where we expected to find them rocking comfortably on the porch of the Old Maids Home sat Carol Weaver Rosemary Hook and Sylvla Fout They had done all of their running around in high school and decided to settle down and live a peaceful life We then drove back to Joe s for a milkshake The time had come for us to part Don and Nate were going back to their research work and I arn going home to bed.
