Mrs, Howell, senior advisor, and Mr. Haney, school counselor, help seniors to plan their careers, with faith in their futures. Mr. Goodson and his agriculture boys spend long hours repairing school furniture and cooper- ating in community projects. The willing hands of Mrs. Cook and her student librarians keep our library books in good condition and readily available. The willing hands of the school typists, and mimeographers, under the direction of Mrs. Margaret Norris, are a vital part of our school activities - the school paper, the annual, tests, school reports, and handbooks. CP.D.Cn. Officers The P. T. A. has sponsored three main projects this year - the school band, the summer recrea- tion program, and the construction of asphalt play areas throughout the campus. Mr. J, B. Davis, Vice President; Mr. T. A. Hilton, President; Mrs. Joe Kaylor, Treasurer; and Mrs. Pearl Austin, Secretary, The Alumni Association meets biennially. Their most outstanding project is sponsoring a scholarship fund for worthy Glenwood graduates who wish to continue their education. A major project of the council is the sponsoring of activities to encourage better morale among the student body and better communication between the faculty and student body. Some specific projects carried out each year are the assignment and regular checking of lockers, conducting clean-up campaigns, and purchasing a gift for the school. G uS The Key Club is a national junior chapter of the Kiwanis Inter- national Club. The Glenwood Key Club is composed of carefully se- lected boys of good character, leadership potential, and high academ- ic standing. Their major contributions to the community this year have been the construction and installing of signs for the churches of the community. The Lydian Club was organized this year by the girls in the commercial class who have career inter- ests in the field of business. The name, Lydians , is derived from the Biblical character, Lydia, who ex- emplifies businesslike qualities.
