Its purpose is to pro- mote the general Welfare of the school by encourag- ing sell'-government and providing an opportunity for the student body to voice their opinions in school affairs. Special projects of Student Council this year in- cluded maintaining the hall monitor system, spon- soring special assemblies, directing the pep assem- blies, and sponsoring the sock hops after the home basketball games. The members submit their work for pub- lication to various literary magazines through- out the United States. This year one of the members ol' the Student Writers, Kay Falvo, made an outstanding con- tribution to Glenwood by writing the words for our alma mater.
