Its purpose is to pro- mote the general Welfare of the school by encourag- ing sell'-government and providing an opportunity for the student body to voice their opinions in school affairs. Special projects of Student Council this year in- cluded maintaining the hall monitor system, spon- soring special assemblies, directing the pep assem- blies, and sponsoring the sock hops after the home basketball games.
