Football Team Surprised Everyone The last Highlander football team was somewhat of a surprise to everyone except the team, itself and coaches. This years' team was full of excitement and pride. The team was led by captains Chris Blomberg, Brian Hooker, and Frank Fu Leftwich. Behind the passing of Hooker and the running of Duane Friday Night Farris, many goals were reached. The team came only inches of beating Lewis but came back and won Glenvar's last home- 78 Varsity Football coming game and the last home game to be played by Glenvar in Highlander Stadium. Each game was played with much pride and inten- sity as the Highlanders never quit. The record 4-6 was no evidence of just how good the Highlanders re- ally were. Coach Kucer said this was the hardest working group of men he has ever coached, but the most un- lucky. Now the last football season is over with many memories.
