Every Dog Has Its Day, But Nights Belong To Us Pussy Cats Under a very unusual theme, Groovy Teen was a great success this year. The Juniors were pressed for time even though they had to post- pone the show until March 5th but the performance proved to be worth waiting for. Under the direction of Rosie Angell the contestants partici- pated in talent, swimsuit, and eve- ning gown competition. Mr. and Mrs. Akers were the M.C.'s for the evening, making comments about each of the pageant contestants. After narrowing the choice down to five, the judges made the big deci- sion. jerky johnson was crommed as the final Groovy Teen Queen with Go-Get'em Gresham as the first runner-up. The audience enjoyed the performance and the remarks after- wards were favorable. 46 Groovy Teen
