l The Class of '78 left Glenvar with mixed emotion, both sadness about not being able to graduate from Glenvar and excitement about going to the new school to meet new peo- ple. The year was very productive and the Iuniors worked hard to make money for the prom. They sold candy bars, sponsored the Home- coming Dance and Groovy Teen. They ordered their rings in Novem- ber and found that they had a wide variety to choose from. The prom was a big success and the juniors were proud of their ef- forts. Groovy Teen also tumed out very well under the theme Last of the Red Hot Lovers. The Juniors and the Sophomores tied for the Homecoming hall decorations and the Iuniors strived every pep rally to win the spirit spark plug. The Class of '78 regretted not being able to complete high school at Glenvar but they were very proud to be attending the new Salem High School. 1 1. Sign shows junior spirit. 2. The Last - The Best making a few faces reflected the sen- timents of many hearts, especially those of the seniors. For many, it was not until halftime that people's eyes were opened and they became aware of the fact that it was Glenvar's last Homecoming.
