We Have Achieved Our Goals In the last year of Glenvar's exis- tence we have learned a lot about ourselves and others. Our clubs and organizations have found that mem- bership is larger when there is not idleness - but activity. The athletic teams of GHS have achieved their goals this year with determination, unity, and the assurance of their many supporters. The teachers have discovered that students are more at- tentive if the class is made interest- ing. The student body has displayed an undying spirit of pride and en- thusiasm for Glenvar during their participation in sports, class, com- munity, and extra-curricular ac- tivities. The 1976-77 Crusader staff has leamed that while observing and re- flecting on the past you must some- times adapt to unpleasant situations and perhaps even compromise a lit- tle. The have found that producing a yearbook was just as rewarding as it was difficult. The members of the staff have leamed the ability to Work together as a group under the system of cooperation that is a necessary part of our endeavors. Every person connected with Glen- var High School has played a part in making this kind of spirit a trademark of our school. In moving to Salem High School students must join with their leaders in developing a new atmosphere which will con- tinue the tradition established here at Glenvar. We hope that students transferring to Salem High can join together to create a spirit as fulfilling as our Highlander Pride of the past few years. Although it may seem like only yesterday, another year has faded into our memories. Special games, assemblies, and classes are still in our minds. These are memories to be cherished for years to come. We also hope that this year' s experiences have in some way prepared you for the fu- ture and that this Crusader will, in coming years, help you identify with those 'youthful' high school years and perhaps relive those memorable dates for 'We Will Never Pass This Way Againl' 220 Closing
