Romans and More Romans The Latin Club with seventy-three members this year had one of the largest and most active clubs in Vir- ginia. Monthly meetings centered around various phases of Roman life. Some of the unforgetable moments were: Vergil tportrayed by George Clementsj almost losing his toga as he paraded before the Romans, Mr. Myers auctioned as a slave to the highest bidders for a grand total of 56.78, the junior Classical League convention with twenty-four dele- gates held in Norfolk, Christmas carolingp and the Roman Banquet, 'A Feast for Aeneas.' The membership was largely made up of spanish students. The club's purpose was to learn more about foreign countries and cultures.
