'l The Glenvar chapter of DECA had many interesting activities for its members. Some of those activities were such things as a Parliamentary Procedure seminar held at Glenvar, bowling event against Lewis in Ian- uary, Fall Rally, and trips to places such as Kings Dominion. DECA also 188 DECA 2 had members competing in district, state, regional contests, and sent del- egates to the National DECA conven- tion in California. The Glenvar and Lewis DECA's made plans for a store at the new Salem High School. The club sponsored by Mr. Willis and Mr. Whittacker. Fund Raising Projects A Success

Highlanderettes! The Glenvar Highlanderettes con- sisted of five seniors this year: Carol Kagey, head majorettep Lisa Poff, Glenda Owens, Lynne Crotts and Sharon Pugh. The girls had many re- sponsibilities, helping the cheer- leaders treat the teams at lunch, learn- ing new routines for games Las well as practicing old favorites like Mis- sissippi Mud J, plus keeping up their musical ability for concert sea- son when they play such instru- ments as the flute, clarinet and bas- soon. The majorettes will be remem- bered as a big part of our school spirit, 1. Majorettes show spirit at a Pep Rally. 2. The band and majorettes rehearse together for halftime. 3. Clowning on the sidelines. 4. Glenda Owens poses for the camera. 5. The dances of Scotland come to the Glenvar highlands. 6.
